Just looked at the trailer and already bugged by the time period differential. Although the societal vs. Individual angst is as apropos as ever and the attack on capitalism in the country that benefits most from it is most apparent I am concerned that there are few who can take such an endeavor and make it palatable for the big screen. How many attempts of The Lord of the Rings were there?

I’m definitely looking forward to this. I read the book 2 years ago and enjoyed it (minus the one chapter that was an entire speech that got really old after the first 10 pages). I definitely don’t subscribe to all of Rand’s philosophies but they are intriguing. I hope they do it justice.
I have no confidence that Holly(“big government”)wood will be able to take Rand’s laissez-faire capitalism and make it the great satan of the progress of the world. I will keep my fingers crossed, but I will keep my paranoia on high alert.
Looks intriguing, but there are some books that don’t make good movies. Atlas Shrugged may be one of them… what are we gonna see? 120 minutes of people arguing about what life is about? Where’s the car chases? The hot sex scenes? =)
I think I cannot wait to see this !!!!! and I know exactly who with (the person who helped me make it through the book)…Love the movies, btw…One of my favorite indulgences.

@Tony Alicea, John Galt’s speech is a big one, indeed!!
I agree. I’m not an objectivist, but I’m a flaming capitalist!!
