Here Bidda Bidda—Top Ten Reasons You Should Bid For My Original Italian Work Of Art

VernazzaLight As I prepare to offer an original work of art tomorrow at auction, I thought it would be fun to give you my top ten reasons for purchasing original art. My first-ever auction begins NOW and will run for exactly one week. The reserve price is only $75! Please join in the fun!! Go to: or simply click the auctions button at the top of the home page.

The piece that goes to auction tomorrow is Vernazza Light and is watercolor and graphite on handmade paper. It is 12″ x 16″ and can be framed easily and inexpensively in a standard 16″ x 20″ frame.

I sketched the original study while sitting on a bench on a perfect afternoon in the cliffside town of Vernazza in the Cinque Terra on the Italian Riviera. The afternoon sun hit the church and it was almost as if God was saying, “Here, Randy, I have lit the church for you, so that you will not miss it. Please paint my house!” I later finished the painting back in the states in my studio.

Top Ten Reasons You Should Bid For Original Works Of Art

— Original art can be a prized conversation piece and focal point in your home.

— Buying original art enables the artist to continue his work.

— It is a one-of-a-kind work, much a couture piece of fashion.

— Original art is only one time removed from the artist themselves.

— Original art provides satisfaction. Happiness is clearly one of the obvious sentiments that art will provide. The enjoyment of searching for and choosing your original painting can’t be overstated.

—Original art provides aesthetic quality. Hanging art enhances any room in which they are displayed. Original art will add the finishing touch to your interior décor and will help to lift the mood of your room and the people in it.

—Original art does not always need compliment decor. Many people to buy art to stand out from the rest of the room. This ensures that the artwork stands on its own and is noticed and admired by all.

— Owning original art portrays an air of success and sophistication to the collector.

—Original art tends to increase in value over time. At first my original commissions were $50, now my standard charge for a commissioned piece is $750. So, tomorrow, you have an opportunity to buy one of my originals at TEN times less!!

— Often, the only way to afford a successful artist’s original art is when they are making space in their studio. When they do so (as I will be doing tomorro)  take advantage of the opportunity. It does not happen often!
