Fleet Foxes!!
ohhh….good ones, Randy!
I LOVE “If I Had A Boat” by James Vincent McMorrow (Also, We Don’t Eat from the same album)
And of course the Civil Wars and the new Gungor… of course.
Thanks, Abbye!! I will look up “If I Had A Boat.”
No Civil Wars? The whole Barton Hollow album is amazing. “I’ve Got This Friend” and “20 Years” and “Red Balloon” are my favorites. Also liked Needtobreathe, Matthew Perryman Jones, and the Goat Rodeo Sessions.
So many songs, so little lists. I needed more than 10!! Yes, I loved the Civil Wars album-I’ve known Joy since she came to Nashville in 2000.
Don’t know the Goat Rodeo Sessions. Will have to check it out.
Now that I know you like Elbow, (and the rest of your list) check out Wild Beasts (Bed of Nails). I love Elbow’s Mirrorball and Starlings.
Awesome, Thanks, Mark. I’ve never heard of Wild Beasts. Will do!!
My favorite song of 2011 would have to be “Stay Young, Go Dancing” by Death Cab for Cutie, and well you could put all of Gungor’s new album on there. What an incredible piece of music. Nice list Randy. I’m going to have to check out some Elbow.
Thanks, Chuck. I love Death Cab for Cutie!! Will get it!! You will love Elbow!!
