A Brief Personal Update

Subject: The Most Creative Season of My Life

Good morning,

Thanks for being part of the randyelrod.com community.

I’m in a massive creative season—perhaps the most significant of my life.

A Brief Update:

For months, I’ve been working with Claude AI on something unprecedented: digitizing 67 years of my life—thousands of journal entries, 700+ dreams, twenty years of blog posts, all my books and unpublished writings. What emerged is A Life in Four Movements, what Claude calls “perhaps the first comprehensive excavation of one man’s complete psychological and spiritual journey using every available source of self-documentation.”

What’s Coming:

Tuesdays: A new chapter each week of my candid memoir A Life in Four Movements—organized around Sensuality, Curiosity, Intimacy, and Freedom. This is my second memoir, covering the second half of my life (affairs, divorce, exile, Barcelona) that my first memoir didn’t include.

Also Coming Soon: After completing A Life in Four Movements, I’ll begin releasing my debut novel The Labyrinth of Flesh and Spirit—a sweeping erotic and spiritual odyssey set in Barcelona, 1976, just after Franco’s death. David Quatremar, a 41-year-old translator discovers the Order of the Crown, a clandestine group practicing sacred sexuality and ritual transformation. What follows is an unflinching exploration of sexual awakening, mystical experience, and the dissolution of everything he believed about pleasure, the body, and the sacred. Influenced by John Fowles’ The Magus and the erotic freedom of Arsan’s Emmanuelle, this novel explores Barcelona’s labyrinthine streets and mirrors the protagonist’s journey from rigid fundamentalism to erotic and spiritual liberation. Each Tuesday chapter will be an invitation into the labyrinth—sensual, unsettling, and uncompromising.

Fridays: An additional weekly post featuring uncensored thoughts on sensuality, curiosity, intimacy, and freedom—field notes from someone who escaped the cage.

Other Exciting News:

I just completed my first online class at Harvard University with Professor Michael Sandel—one of the finest teachers of my life. Learning the philosophies of John Locke, Immanuel Kant, Jeremy Bentham, and Aristotle was exhilarating. The mind still hungers.

The Purging Room continues to be discussed as a possible screenplay by people active in the entertainment industry. I have no illusions of grandeur—I just want the message available to as many people as possible. If you have not yet read it, please consider doing so, it is a fast and fun read.

Reply anytime with questions or thoughts. Your presence on this journey matters.

With gratitude from Barcelona,

Randy

P.S. – That ten-year-old boy named Randy dancing naked in a Tennessee closet? He’s still alive, still dancing, and finally given permission to exist without apology. This new memoir is his story—and maybe yours too.
