Do not think me whole
because I speak in praise
of wholeness, or Christian
because I once was religious.
I am a man weak as any,
feet of clay, impetuous,
stubborn, lusty, and profane.
Yet prone to fitful bouts of
kindness, gentleness,
compassion and
encouragement.
That I may have been
an influence or a success
is pure luck.
Redneck, renaissance,
shaman, or sage.
The last words are yet
to be written.
