B2C has been one of those consistently in the CD player discs, it never gets old and the songs are all superb, start to finish. Like many fans, I have been waiting 15+ years for this CD to come out– finally!

I saw the Silage, Burlap to Cashmere, Jars of Clay Tour as well. Loved all 3 bands. Still love JOC, reaallllllllly glad B2C is finally back (and Johnny is playing guitar), and I miss the Under appreciated Silage (Vegas Car Chasers was sweet). I love this band! No Vinyl for me, so I won’t try for that prize, though…

I saw a video of Burlap to Cashmere playing “Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth” at Creation Fest years ago. It revolutionized my musical inclinations. “Live at The Bitter End” was truly bitter for me. My favorite new band was hereand gone in a flash. I’ve snapped up everything I could find by Steven Delopoulos in the ensuing years. When I heard that Burlap to Cashmere were back together and working on new material, I nearly fel out of my chair and wept. I waited up to dowload from iTunes as son as it posted. Thanks so much for this. History in the making!

Was a huge Burlap fan back in the day. Never got to see ’em live though. Steven’s solo albums were fantastic. This new album seems like a perfect mix of the two styles.

My dad bought their first cd when it was released and I grew up listening to them. My brother and I often sang the songs from that album to each other. Not many people that we knew had heard about B2C, and so it created a sense of camaraderie between us (you know, something that we had in common that no one else knew about). I am super stoked that they are coming out with new stuff.

  26. Michelle Avatar

Jars of Clay and Burlap to Cashmere are my two favorite bands. How thrilled was I to see that this video was made?!! I have listened to JOC since I was about 8 years old and B2C since 11. (I am 25 now.) For my 12th birthday the only thing I wanted was the “Anybody Out There” album. I have listened to “Eileen’s Song” more than any other song in the world (except maybe JOC’s “Worlds Apart”). While I was in the US Marine Corps I discovered Steven’s “Me Died Blue” and “Straightjacket” albums on itunes. Those albums have been added as central soundtracks to my life. I really do believe you could call B2c “virtuosic”, their music speaks to the soul. I amso excited to get them album!!! I love you guys!!

Wow, I am crazy about B2C … their first CD was on constant rotation for me during the summer of 99. I hadn’t heard much of them until Stephen opened for Derek Webb and Sandra McCracken at a show I caught in Illinois. Actually, another full band played before Stephen and he blew them away with just his voice, guitar and stage presence. Shortly after that I got “Me Died Blue” and have followed Stephen ever since. So glad he’s back with his bandmates … can’t wait to hear this album.

What an exciting day! It’s been so long since Is There Anybody Out There? came out…and I think the solid and *virtuosic* components of the group is what is generating the excitment-even a decade later-for people to grab onto the new self-titled work. For me, it’s about the music…and I think the first came out at a time when Christian msuic was still about becoming an alternative to what was playing secular…as the 90’s produced a lot of garbage Christian music. I think Jars of Clay were the first successful group to break out of that mentality (which I am a huge fan of and got to sit in at the small secret show in Portland a few montsh ago)–their first album is still timeless as well. But Burlap came in there and just dropped a bomb on it…and I think Christian radio didn’t know how to take it…artistry that rose above genre, and you could tell these guys were the real deal…that they have been crafting for years and we were the lucky ones to listen in. I can’t wait to get the new album and I don’t care if it will be another ten years til the next.

Hey Randy. Thanks for this. I’m identifying with your experience with Burlap. I’ll never forget being at Estes Park over 10 years ago and, with the rest of the crowd thinking, “Who the heck are these people?…this is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever heard!” Now, we know them but, wow, truly virtuosic. Can’t wait to hear more. By the way, another band I’d never heard of at the time and was borderline mad that no one had ever told me about them when I did hear them….Good Old War. I am so looking forward to having such a virtuosic album in my collection as Burlap to Cashmere. They were one of the first bands I fell in love with when I finally got hooked to Christian Music. Thanks for this opportunity, Randy. Congrats Burlap to Cashmere!

So excited for their CD! I listened to them all the time as a teenager, and even now I love it when their songs come up on shuffle. They are an amazingly skilled band.

I had the privilege of meeting the guys in B2C back in 2000, when my band opened a show for them. I feel that their music was virtuosic even back then, so I’m looking forward to the album today! Thanks for the interview!

I have a great memory of B2C coming to Athens & then deciding to stay for a week, & rehearse at a local church. We got coffee, & grabbed lunch a few times. Great folk!

I’ve been a B2C fan since I heard Anybody Out There for the first time. They stood out as different, talented and fascinating, especially because of the Greek influence in their style. In February I saw that they’d be coming out with a new album and have been waiting impatiently ever since. Also I had the privilege of seeing them perform a couple of weeks ago in Portland OR at Mississippi Studios and had a blast listening to their virtuosic performance! The fast-paced finger-picking interlude by Steven and Johnny blew me away! I’m so glad they’re back making music together and better than ever.

Super excited about this album. What other band can all but fall of the earth, and a decade later make an album that gets this much hype from the original fans?? Can’t wait to delete some stuff off my iPod to make room for this album

I have truly been a B2C fan ever since I saw them opening for Jars of Clay back on the Tour 101 which I think was around 1998 or so. I never forget when they came to my small town of Irving,TX and played a free show at the Heritage Festival. The last date I remember seeing them was they performed a benefit show at Club DaDa in Dallas. That benefit show ended up being for a woman who was a part of a unique church in Dallas called Reunion Church. Steve has become a good friend of the pastor Richard Ellis and I have gotten to see him solo a few times since. I am so proud to see Johnny feeling better and playing better than ever. It’s also great to see Teddy too.
Congrats guys on your new album and I hope to see y’all soon in Texas.

I’m on my way to Best Buy in 5min (once I’m done w/ this) to get my copy. I love digital by it’s on sale there. I have been looking forward to this for a long time. I am especially eager to hear the remake of “Seasons” from Steven’s solo album. Once I get a good listen to it I’ll do my usual amateur review. Anyone can read them on Tumblr under Chris Tate Reviews. Now for the excited kid in my to say, I really hope I win this. Would LOVE to get a signed copy. If I win I’ll bless someone with my store cd copy.
