The Seven Last Words of…Spock

I am considering submitting a talk to the 2013 South by Southwest Conference Panel Picker and calling it The Seven Last Words of Spock  (Empathic Confessions for an Illogical World).

Here are my ideas for the seven last words of the iconic Star Trek hero who often wrestled with his Vulcan/Human heritage.

1.  Anamnesis (Empathic Memories)
2. Dialogue (Empathic Conversation)
3. Introspection (Empathic Intelligence)
4. Empathy
5. Engage (Empathic Engagement)
6. Listen (Empathic Listening)
7. Charisma (Empathic Attraction)

 I need your help.

First: What do you think of the title?

Second: Considering the subject of the talk is empathy, what words would you suggest?

Third: If you are part of the SXSW community, I need you to vote for me.

Meld: what God really desires from us.
He desires to “let” Him put those “three” fingers on our foreheads and be silent like it was in the garden before “I” got in the way.

Pause: Something Spock did before speaking “with that cocked face and raised eyebrow”.
Like the Holy Spirit giving us that pregnant pause to “think” about what we are about to say, before we begin re-acting like Doc. McCoy did (who would be 9/10’s of the evangelical community) including myself much of the time.

Only givin ya two to think about…

“I have been and always shall be your friend.”

    Wait, that was nine words.

    (And it probably doesn’t help.)

Yes, that was the last words at his “death.” Which really wasn’t his death. But powerful words, none the less. In my talk, I’m thinking 7 words which stand on their own, instead of a seven word phrase. Thanks, Jeff!!!
