One Response to “My Confession (Part Six)”

  1. “I understood that faith may perhaps serve a consolation for a repentant believer on his death-bed, but it cannot serve for the ones who are called to a greater purpose and meaning in this present life.”

Oh, this quote breaks my heart.

Indeed, the shallow, self-serving, personality-cult show masquerading as a “faith” in this country and infecting the world through popular “Christian” culture–the picture you’ve demonstrated–illustrate your point here.

The intellectual and moral journey to a mature, steady, and personal faith apart from the religion, practices, and positions of others is brave and frightening.
